Global Internship Program

We offer a variety of paid internships at Labcorp for current students in programs such as Animal Science, Biology, Biochemistry, Business, Chemistry, Communications, Computer Science, Data Science/Data Analytics, Finance/Accounting, HR, Information Technology, Life Sciences, Medical Laboratory Science, Marketing, Software Engineering, Supply Chain, Zoology and more. 

Our internships span remote, hybrid office-based and onsite lab-based opportunities. We also provide relocation assistance for qualifying applicants.*

Information Technology (IT)

Labcorp’s IT Internship Program offers students pursuing degrees in Computer Science, Information Science, Data Science, Analytics, and related fields the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a global healthcare technology environment.

Interns will collaborate with experienced professionals across Labcorp’s business units, tackling real-world challenges while gaining exposure to a variety of career paths. These include Software Development, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, IT Infrastructure, and Business Analysis.

In addition to technical roles, interns may explore opportunities in Product Management, Project Management, and UI/UX Design, gaining insight into how healthcare solutions are built, delivered, and improved through cross-functional teamwork.

Whether you're writing code, analyzing data, or shaping user experiences, the Labcorp IT internship provides a dynamic environment to learn, grow, and make meaningful contributions.

Diagnostic Laboratory

Labcorp’s Diagnostic Laboratory Internship Program welcomes students pursuing undergraduate degrees in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science (CLS/MLS), Biological Sciences, Chemistry, and Toxicology. Interns receive hands-on experience performing various pre-analytical and lab assistant tasks supporting technologists and laboratory scientists in specimen analysis. 

Interns gain valuable insight into the professional environment, day-to-day responsibilities, and essential knowledge and skills needed to pursue a career as technical laboratory profession in medical diagnostic, anatomical pathology, or clinical and forensic toxicology laboratories.
Working alongside experienced staff in fast-paced and high-volume laboratories, interns develop, attention to detail, and technical proficiency, which are essential to providing patients with accurate and timely results.

The hands-on experience includes lab tasks, managing or preparing supplies and reagents, processing, aliquoting, extracting, plating specimens, learning about lab equipment and instrumentation, or documenting and maintaining accurate records. Interns also participate in projects and presentations and explore the scientific processes and systems that are integral to a career at a global life sciences company.

Whether organizing patient samples, assisting with analyzers, processing specimens, or managing lab supplies, Labcorp’s Diagnostic Laboratory Intern roles provide a dynamic opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute to meaningful work that impacts patients worldwide.

Early Development—Biopharma Lab Services

Labcorp’s Early Development – BioPharma Lab Services Internship Opportunities welcome students pursuing undergraduate degrees in Biology, Animal Science, Zoology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or related life sciences. Interns gain hands-on experience in a regulated preclinical research environment, supporting studies that advance the development of new medicines and therapies.

Interns work alongside experienced animal care technicians, veterinary staff, and scientists, assisting with maintaining animal rooms and equipment in compliance with GLP, AAALAC, and USDA requirements. This hands-on experience may include monitoring animal health and welfare, supporting technical procedures under supervision, maintaining accurate study records, and collaborating with the animal operations team to ensure study quality.

Through mentorship and guided practice, interns develop technical skills in animal handling, data documentation, research equipment use, and regulatory compliance. Beyond technical training, interns learn about Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), the Animal Welfare Act, and the professional standards that guide humane and ethical research.

Before your journey begins, we’ll send you insightful articles and resources to help you prepare for your internship. You’ll also have the opportunity to connect with fellow interns, making connections even before your first day.

Once you’ve onboarded, you’ll take part in a comprehensive Welcome Workshop designed to set you up for success. You will learn more about the impact of our employee resource groups (ERGs), participate in engaging activities and join your team equipped with valuable knowledge, connections and insights to make the most of your internship experience.

To set you up for a successful internship, we organize a panel of former interns who share their valuable experiences, practical tips, and recommendations. This session provides you with insider perspectives on how to make the most of your time at Labcorp! 

Additionally, we help you gain inspiration and wisdom directly from top executives in our Executive Leader Speaker Series. You’ll expand your understanding of leadership and professional growth as senior leaders provide a glimpse into their career journeys, share strategic insights, and discuss their vision for this year’s intern cohort.

For U.S. and U.K. Interns: You will be paired with a mentor through a new pilot program we plan to expand globally. This initiative is designed to provide meaningful connections beyond your immediate team, offering several opportunities to engage with your mentor throughout the course of your internship. 

Mentorship sessions offer a valuable opportunity to explore potential career paths, gain deeper insights into Labcorp’s enterprise and global impact, and receive additional support and networking guidance during your internship experience.

In July, we proudly celebrate you on “National Intern Day” with virtual events to recognize the accomplishments of our interns. 
At the conclusion of the internship, we reflect on your overall experience. Along with other interns and hiring managers, you’ll share lessons learned, accomplishments, highlights, skills developed and memories made during the robust internship program.
